The countdown to the Apple Cup is underway with just a few days to go until the 118th meeting between in-state rivals - the Washington State University (WSU) Cougars and the University of Washington (UW) Huskies.
WSU President Dr. Betsy Cantwell has been in Seattle this week to build excitement ahead of Sunday's matchup at Husky Stadium. She's also been meeting with community leaders to talk about the state of higher education.
ARC Seattle co-anchor Steve McCarron spoke with Cantwell one-on-one about the up-coming Apple Cup, the future of the rivalry game, and the big changes Cougar fans will see and experience at Martin Stadium in Pullman this season. The two also talk about why the WSU Cougar Marching Band is not making the trip to Seattle for Sunday's Apple Cup game.
