A month-and-a-half-long investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the Bothell area has led to the seizure of nearly $148,000 in cash, eight firearms, vehicles and multiple controlled substances, according to the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force.
On Aug. 19, task force detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 3700 block of 207th Place SE in Bothell.
An image of the cash and drugs seized (Snohomish County Sheriff's Office)A 42-year-old man who lives at the home was arrested without incident at a separate location by the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, the task force said.
During the search of the residence, investigators said they seized more than $67,000 in U.S. currency along with fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, heroin and methadone.
Investigators also seized digital scales, drug packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and a currency counter.
Eight firearms were seized during the investigation, the task force said, including two rifles, two sawed-off shotguns, two revolvers and two semi-automatic pistols. Three vehicles were also seized.
The task force said information developed during the initial search led to additional search warrants.
Those follow-up warrants resulted in the seizure of an additional $80,000 in U.S. currency, bringing the total seized so far in the investigation to $147,830.
The Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force said its investigation focused on the suspected trafficking of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances.
The investigation remains ongoing.
