Arrest reports explain new details about a shooting and pursuit involving Seattle police through the south end of the city on Wednesday.

The pursuit ended in a serious crash, and the arrest of two men and a juvenile near the border of Seattle and Tukwila.

According to an arrest report, undercover officers were following a stolen Dodge Challenger on Martin Luther King Jr. Way South around 5:30 p.m. in connection to a series of armed robberies across the city.

The Challenger turned the corner on South Kenyon Street, and when officers followed, they described two men standing outside of the Challenger with guns and opening fire on their vehicles.

“The gunshots struck (officer’s) vehicle numerous times before the two shooters got back into the Challenger,” the arrest report says.

Police chased the Challenger through the Rainier Beach neighborhood until it crashed head-on into another car on South Ryan Way. All three suspects were apprehended.

Jacobe Barbour, 26, was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to the arrest report, Barbour was one of the men who fired at the officer on Kenyon Street. Barbour is a twice-convicted felon.

In 2017, Barbour pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery for the armed robbery of two victims in Tacoma. In that case, Barbour admitted to using a CO2 gun to steal $80 from two people outside a dispensary.

Court records show he was sentenced to 41 months in a juvenile rehabilitation facility.

The juvenile whom police arrested at the crash site in Seattle was the target of the initial robbery investigation. An arrest report obtained by KOMO News on Thursday alleges the teen was part of a robbery crew responsible for violent robberies at gunpoint across the city, including at Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood.

Juvenile court records show the 17-year-old had multiple prior cases, including a charge of first-degree robbery in Bellevue in 2024.

The third suspect — an adult male — remains hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center, according to police.

Prosecutors expect to review criminal charges in the coming days.
