Seattle police are investigating a man's death as a homicide after the victim was found near Westlake Center Thursday morning.

Seattle police are investigating a man's death as a homicide following a fight at Westlake Park Thursday morning.

Around 6:45 a.m., someone walking near the park at Fourth Avenue and Pine Street called 911 and said two men were fighting. One was screaming for help.

As officers were heading to the scene, the witness said one man was no longer moving.

Officers arrived and found a 67-year-old man with no pulse, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Seattle Fire Department medics arrived, and the victim was pronounced dead.

The suspect, a 39-year-old man, was taken into custody by officers.

"A nearby Real Time Crime Center camera captured footage of the incident and will be crucial in helping detectives with their investigation," the SPD said in a blotter post.

Detectives are investigating what led up to the victim's death.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Seattle Police Department at 206-233-5000.
