The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the man’s identity and the cause and manner of death.

A man died Tuesday morning after the personal watercraft he was riding collided with a private dock on Lake Goodwin, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and Marysville Fire crews were called about 8 a.m. to a residence on the lake after the reported collision.

The man, who was the only person on the personal watercraft, suffered traumatic injuries. Community members who heard the crash pulled him from the water before fire personnel arrived and performed CPR, authorities said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the man’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death.

The Sheriff’s Office Marine Services Unit removed the personal watercraft from the water and is leading the investigation.
