Detectives in Kirkland say they have recovered more than $30,000 worth of stolen property tied to burglaries and vehicle prowls spanning multiple cities.
The Kirkland Police Department’s ProAct detectives said the investigation involved cases in Kirkland, Bellevue, Newcastle and Federal Way. Police said the recovered items include passports, driver’s licenses, mail, two guns, several high-end bicycles, golf clubs, tools, electronics and other property.
Detectives have identified the owners of many of the items and are working to return the property, police said.
Police said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the investigation and are being held at the King County Jail. Detectives are continuing to work with neighboring law enforcement agencies to match remaining recovered property with theft reports and identify additional victims. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police also urged community members to keep records that can help investigators return stolen items, including serial numbers for bicycles, firearms, electronics, tools and other valuables. Police said photos and receipts can also help, particularly for items without serial numbers.
