Everett man shot in head during domestic violence assault

A 27-year-old man was hospitalized after he was shot in the head during a domestic violence assault in Everett on Friday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment after deputies arrived at the 1300 block of Eighth Avenue West around 10:30 p.m.

The SCSO said deputies "quickly identified" a 46-year-old man suspected in the shooting and that the two men knew one another.

The suspect fled on foot, and deputies could not find him with help from police dogs during the initial search.

The man was later arrested in Everett and booked into Snohomish County Jail for first-degree domestic violence assault.
