The first place gourd weighed a total of 1,006 pounds. His pumpkin was more than double the closest competitor!
Baird said it takes him about five to six months to grow the giant pumpkins.
Baird wants to beat the Washington State record for largest Atlantic Giant pumpkin at 2,363 lbs.
