Natalie Fahmy anchors weekend mornings and reports for the weekday morning newscast on KOMO-TV. She also appears on ARC Seattle on KUNS-TV, the CW Network for discussions about her story of the day. Natalie is an Ohio native, coming to KOMO News from NBC4 in Columbus. In Ohio, Natalie primarily reported on the state’s politics, covering everything from legislation to high profile elections. Natalie won her first Emmy Award for her political reporting. In Ohio, Natalie also served as President of the Ohio Radio and Television Corespondents Association at the Ohio Statehouse and Vice President for her local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Before Ohio, Natalie worked in Buffalo, New York as a general assignment reporter. There she had live shots in six-feet of snow, covered the Buffalo Bills fandom and the tragic Tops Grocery Store mass shooting. Natalie graduated from Syracuse University (Go Orange!) with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting and Digital Journalism and minor in Political Science. Natalie first learned the ropes of the broadcasting world through several internships throughout college, both with networks and local stations. Her passion was first sparked in high school when she interned at a local radio station, and got her first by-line. Natalie’s first paycheck for writing was at a local newspaper, where she freelanced, after her freshman year of college. In her free time, Natalie loves to play tennis, explore everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer (especially the beaches, seafood and shopping), travel and spend time with family & friends.
