The Senate is moving closer to a final vote on a sweeping college-sports overhaul after two bipartisan procedural votes this week, including a 77-22 vote Thursday.

The latest version would set national rules for NIL/revenue sharing, transfers, eligibility and athlete protections, while giving the NCAA limited antitrust protection.

Supporters say it would bring stability to college sports; opponents argue it gives the NCAA too much power and doesn't adequately protect athletes.
