Four sea turtles returned home to the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday morning.

Their return came after the turtles underwent five months of intensive treatment at The Florida Aquarium's Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in Apollo Beach.

On the morning of their release, staff members at The Florida Aquarium gave each turtle a final checkup, removed colored bands from their flippers, applied ointment to keep their eyes lubricated during the drive and prepared them for their journey back to the ocean.

Video shows the four turtles being taken back to the ocean and released into the water.
