BIDDEFORD (WGME) -- Senator Susan Collins’ office in downtown Biddeford was vandalized with a vulgar message.
A photo posted on social media Monday afternoon by a state lawmaker shows the words “Trump W***e” apparently spray-painted in capital red letters on the doors to Collins’ office on Main Street.
Police say it's under investigation.
The Senator is in Washington, D.C. right now. A spokesperson for her says they won't be intimidated and the office is open.
Collins' opponent in the upcoming Senate race, Democrat Troy Jackson, condemned the intimidation and said in a statement:
"Senator Collins and her staff should be able to do their jobs without anyone de-facing their office, and I condemn whoever did this.”
