The update affects nearly 400,000 employees across Kroger’s family of grocery banners.

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Kroger has completed a new uniform rollout for in-store employees, replacing the previous mix of employee-selected clothing with company-branded tops.

Store employees now wear a Kroger logo T-shirt or polo in blue, red or black, depending on the division where they work. Managers wear button-down shirts or quarter-zip jackets.

The update affects nearly 400,000 employees across Kroger’s family of grocery banners. It is the company’s first broad uniform change in about a decade, according to Bloomberg.

A Kroger spokesperson said early feedback has been positive.

“Associates appreciate the fit and the cohesive look, and customers are telling us our teams are easier to find,” the spokesperson said.

The change is intended to make employees more recognizable to shoppers while creating a consistent appearance across stores.
