Kingston Bradley was arrested after police allegedly found an unidentified woman’s dismembered torso outside an apartment complex in Smyrna, Georgia.
SMYRNA, Ga. (WKRC) - A man was arrested after a dismembered female torso fell out of a plastic tub.
The Smyrna Police Department identified him as 18-year-old Kingston Bradley.
According to a statement issued by law enforcement, officers responded to a report of a missing person at around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
While investigating the situation, authorities reportedly discovered the body of a woman, and was arrested in connection with the discovery.
A report from WAGA-TV states that Bradley's arrest came after he allegedly dropped a plastic tub containing a dismembered torso on a walkway inside an apartment complex in Smyrna, Georgia, then fled.
A witness told investigators they saw Bradley carrying the container in an open area between 8 p.m. and 8:28 p.m. that day. After dropping the tub on the dirt path, the witness said Bradley fled to his nearby unit after realizing someone had seen him.
The outlet's report states that officers arrived at the scene and determined that what had fallen out was the dismembered torso of an unidentified woman. Officers had been responding to a missing-person call at the complex when they made the discovery.
Upon entering Bradley's unit, authorities reportedly found the following, per WAGA:
- Multiple blood-stained areas
- A bucket of water and a mop
- A carpet cleaner
- A strong odor of bleach
- A large, bloody saw
The suspect was arrested and charged with the following, according to the New York Post:
- Concealing the death of another person
WAGA's report notes that he was facing charges of battery and terroristic threats in a separate case in Cobb County, Georgia.
"It's another thing to hear, that it [her death] was so brutal. It has to be rough and heartbreaking to go through. I wish them [the victim's family] the best as they go through this loss," a neighbor said while speaking with WAGA.
"It very much spooked me. You don't hear about this in our neighborhood or anywhere with the way the crime went," said Harrison. "I feel so bad for what happened to her. I will still feel afraid until there's more answers on that," another neighbor told the outlet.
