Officers used Flock technology on Monday to help track down the suspect after Phillips was shot and killed during a traffic stop on I-65 in Warren County.

(PHOTO: Kentucky State Police)In a press conference, Louisville Police Chief Paul Humphrey said, "The layers of technology, tools, equipment, great tactics and coordination between officers, detectives, civilians and the community ultimately led us to be able to stop this person utilizing a grappler device to disable his vehicle.
Flock said it is deeply saddened by the loss of Trooper Phillips and that its thoughts are with his family, his colleagues, and all of Kentucky's law enforcement.
The company also said that it remains committed to helping law enforcement solve violent crimes quickly using real-time technology.
The case highlights how police are using new tools and teamwork to catch suspects and bring answers to those affected.
