An employee at a Maumelle Waffle House died early Sunday morning after a car crashed into the restaurant.
According to Maumelle Police, officers responded to the Waffle House at 20514 State Highway 365 after a vehicle reportedly drove into the restaurant around 12:25 on the morning of Sept. 27.
One employee was injured and died from their injuries.
Police arrested the driver, Ranisha Peebles. She is charged with negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test, reckless driving and obstructing governmental operations.
