Three people are dead, including two children, after a house fire in Wayne County, Tennessee early Monday morning, officials confirmed to FOX 17 News.

Three people are dead, including two children, after a house fire in Wayne County, Tennessee early Monday morning, officials confirmed to FOX 17 News.

Two siblings and their grandfather all passed away in the fire. The oldest grandchild, 12-year-old Tylen Scribner, was able to pull himself and his grandmother out of the fire, and they continue to fight for their lives in a Nashville-area hospital.

The individuals who have died are as follows:

  • Paul Warren, the grandfather.
  • Aria Scribner, 11, granddaughter of Paul Warren.
  • Grayson Scribner, 6, the youngest grandson of Paul Warren.

Those in the hospital are as follows:

  • Joan Warren, the grandmother, is stable but in serious condition, according to family friends.
  • Tylen Scribner, 12, the oldest grandson who made it out of the fire, is stable but in serious condition, according to family friends.

Officials have not yet released a cause of the fire, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working the incident. The fire took place at a home in the 100 block of Vaughn Street in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Ray's Chapel in Waynesboro held a vigil Monday night the Waynesboro Middle School gymnasium for the community hurting after the tragic news.

"As we grieve and lift up the family, friends, students, and others affected, may we surround one another with love, strength, and prayer," Ray's Chapel wrote on its Facebook Page.
