Washington State Patrol detectives are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the death of a person found near Interstate 5 in King County.
At about 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 23, Washington State Patrol communications received a 9-1-1 call from someone reporting a person who appeared to be sleeping in the grass near the entrance to the express lanes from Seneca.
Troopers arrived and determined the person was unconscious and had no pulse. CPR was started, but troopers determined the person was already dead.
The Medical Examiner’s Office believes the person died due to a fall off the overpass, but it could not rule out whether the person was struck by a vehicle after the fall.
Detectives are seeking anyone who may have observed anything in the area between Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 that could assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to email Detective Ford at John.Ford@wsp.wa.gov.
