There are all kinds of delays you can face on I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass even during good weather.

Construction and crashes are just a few.

Right now, WSDOT sends out text messages to drivers who request them with alerts, but WSDOT’s I-90 text message alert service ends Aug. 31st.

The agency is telling drivers to switch to their mobile app.

WSDOT says moving I-90 text message alerts to the app saves money and offers more information for travelers from one source.

Things like push notifications about bridges, ferries, and traffic all over the state.

We are told drivers who do not want push notifications will find Snoqualmie Pass I-90 alerts on incidents and closures in the “mountain pass” section of the WSDOT mobile app, along with info like current pass conditions.

So, start planning now so you can still be in the know before you head toward Snoqualmie Pass.
