A Washington state man pleaded guilty Tuesday to two federal counts of sex trafficking involving two 15-year-old girls, prosecutors said.
Dajohntae Rayshawnlee Richard, 26, admitted to trafficking the girls in Washington and Oregon in 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon.
Court documents say Richard contacted one girl on Facebook in May 2025, had sex with the minor, then drove her to Washington and forced her to engage in commercial sex.
Prosecutors said he kept the money and sometimes hit and choked her when she did not follow his instructions.
In June 2025, Richard approached a second 15-year-old girl in the Seattle area. He threatened her, controlled her cellphone use, and forced her to engage in commercial sex, according to court documents.
On June 28, 2025, Richard transported both teens and an adult woman to Portland, Oregon.
He rented a hotel room and told the girls and woman to walk on 82nd Avenue to find customers for prostitution.
Richard faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 7 in federal court.
As part of the plea agreement, Richard agreed to pay restitution to the victims.
