What was initially an endangered missing person alert issued on Sunday was escalated to an Amber Alert on Monday.
The Amber Alert was for a 7-month-old child in Clark County who was reportedly taken in the Vancouver, Washington, area. The Amber Alert was canceled late Tuesday morning.
The infant was recovered Tuesday after a 3rd party notified his mother that Raul Martinez, 37, had turned over the child, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said.
Law enforcement met with the 3rd party and recovered the child, who appeared to be happy and healthy, the sheriff's office said.
Raul Martinez was not located with the child and is wanted by law enforcement on Tuesday.
CCSO requests that anyone with information on his whereabouts call 911.
"Thanks the public for their assistance and vigilance, along with help from partner agencies, in the efforts to recover Infant Marcello," the sheriff's office said.
Martinez is accused of taking the child early Sunday morning, prompting the Amber Alert later on, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said.
Additional information was not released.
