Another 14 workers had been included in an earlier layoff notice, but their separation dates were deferred and are now expected to fall within the same period.

Changing business needs prompted the layoffs, which are expected to be permanent, T-Mobile said.

Some of the job cuts are tied to relocations, and affected employees may have been offered relocation opportunities, according to the company.

The layoffs affect workers at locations in Bellevue, Seattle, Bothell, Vancouver, Kennewick, Tacoma and Yakima, as well as remote employees.

The Canyon Pointe corporate office in Bothell will close, and several retail locations are expected to close:

  • 45th Street and Stone Way in Seattle
  • Chkalov Drive and Southeast Fifth Street in Vancouver
  • Tacoma Mobile Store
  • Nob Hill Boulevard store in Yakima
  • N Columbia Center Blvd & W Quinault Ave in Kennewick

Other listed locations, including T-Mobile’s Bellevue headquarters buildings and its Bellingham call center, are expected to remain open, according to the filing.

Affected positions include product and engineering directors, technical project and product managers, systems architects, mobile associates, and retail store managers.

T-Mobile said there is no union at the affected locations and no bumping rights.
