Police are working to identify a man suspected of trying to lure girls and then touching them inappropriately in Mountlake Terrace.
Officers said the man approaches "young females," asks for directions to a grocery store, then asks for a hug.
In the first few reports, the man didn't make physical contact with the girls. However, on Thursday, police said they received reports of two back-to-back incidents near Mountlake Terrace High School, the police department said.
In those cases, the suspect grabbed the victims' private parts.
Police also said they later received another report about the same thing happening on Wednesday.
The Mountlake Terrace Police Department (MTPD) said most of the incidents happened on 44th Avenue from 212th Street to the county line; however, it appears the man likes to be near the high school.
The man is described as Hispanic, in his 30s, a little heavier set, with short buzzed hair. He wears a blue shirt and khaki shorts.
Police said high school staff are aware of the incidents and are working to distribute information to students.
MTPD said the associated case numbers are 26-11179, 26-9811, 26-13431, 26-13886, and 26-13889.
Anyone with information about the suspect or incidents is asked to call 911 immediately.
