The driver of the suspect vehicle, identified as a 34-year-old Lynnwood man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A driver was killed, and two other people were injured after a Snohomish County sheriff's deputy pursued a reckless driver who crashed into two vehicles Thursday afternoon in Lynnwood, authorities said.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving around 3:58 p.m. in the 19600 block of Highway 99. The driver failed to stop, prompting the deputy to begin a pursuit based on probable cause for reckless driving.
The pursuit continued east on 200th Street SW, where the suspect vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with two westbound vehicles, the sheriff's office said.

The occupants of the two other vehicles were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office. No deputies were injured.
Earlier, Lynnwood police said the crash happened in the 5300 block of 200th Street SW, where a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck two other vehicles.
Police said the crash involved the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office and occurred within Lynnwood city limits.
Lynnwood police are investigating the collision, while the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is conducting the criminal investigation into the events leading up to the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
