Sound Transit riders traveling late at night between Rainier Beach and Angle Lake should plan for longer trips this week as crews carry out planned monthly maintenance work.

Buses will replace 1 Line trains between Rainier Beach and Angle Lake during late-night hours on Aug. 18, 19 and 20.

Sound Transit said passengers should plan ahead and expect about 30 minutes of additional travel time.

During the work, 1 Line trains will continue operating between Lynnwood and Rainier Beach and between Angle Lake and Federal Way. Sound Transit said there are no impacts on 2 Line service.

Sound Transit said the last southbound train serving all stations will depart from Lynnwood at 9:20 p.m., serving Rainier Beach at 10:16 p.m. The last northbound train to Lynnwood serving all stations will depart from Federal Way at 10:06 p.m., serving Angle Lake at 10:20 p.m.

All trips between Rainier Beach and Angle Lake after those trains will be served by Link shuttle buses, which will make all intermediate stops.
