Police are looking for the driver who hit a skateboarder early Wednesday and then fled, leaving the victim with serious injuries.

At 5:27 a.m., a witness called 911 to report the hit-and-run crash near 8th Avenue and Harrison Street in the South Lake Union area of Seattle.
According to the witness, the driver of a red, newer model Acura sedan was heading west on Harrison when they hit a man on a skateboard.
The driver fled and drove north on 8th Avenue.
Seattle Fire Department medics took the 20-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Detectives with the Seattle Police Department Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are investigating.
