A crash on southbound Interstate 5 on the Ship Canal Bridge in Seattle jammed traffic for miles Wednesday morning.

A crash on southbound Interstate 5 on the Ship Canal Bridge in Seattle jammed traffic for miles Wednesday morning.

All lanes reopened shortly before 8 a.m.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) first reported the crash just south of NE 45th St. at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The three left lanes were blocked. Eastbound State Route 520 access was not affected.

According to the WSDOT, the crash involved two semi-trucks.

Only one lane was open to traffic.

As of about 6:45 a.m., traffic was backed up more than six miles into Shoreline.
