Tacoma police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in the city’s North End earlier this month.
At about 2:03 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2026, Tacoma Police responded to the 2100 block of North 30th Street for a report of a shooting.
Officers found an adult man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began lifesaving measures until the Tacoma Fire Department arrived. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
While officers were still at the scene, police were told that an adult man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
Detectives later determined the man was connected to the shooting and developed probable cause for his arrest. After he was cleared from the hospital, he was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
As the investigation continued, detectives developed probable cause to arrest a second suspect. On Aug. 12, 2026, a juvenile male was taken into custody without incident and booked into Remann Hall on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police said the investigation remains active and asked anyone with information to contact the Tacoma Police Department.
