Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the 9000 block of 16th Avenue Southwest after an altercation between at least two men left one man with a gunshot wound to the chest on Tuesday.
Officers were called out to the area at around 12:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, with injuries to his hand and leg.

The suspect and victim were fighting shortly before the shots rang out, police said. It is unknown if the two men knew each other, police said.
Police were seen taking a K-9 and covering the area between The Salvation Army Seattle White Center Corps & Community Center and the Westwood Christian Community church.
Police believe the suspect is a man who walked away toward Henderson Street and asked the public to avoid the area in South Delridge as the investigation continues.
The suspect is currently not in custody, Seattle police said. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
