Officers found an adult man with gunshot wounds and began lifesaving measures until Tacoma Fire Department crews arrived. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives and crime scene technicians investigated the case as a homicide.
While officers were still at the scene, police said they learned an adult man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Detectives later determined the man was connected to the shooting and developed probable cause for his arrest.
After he was cleared from the hospital, the suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
Police said detectives later developed probable cause to arrest a second suspect. On Aug. 12, a teenage boy was taken into custody without incident and booked into Remann Hall on suspicion of first-degree murder.
A third suspect was arrested Aug. 18, police said. The adult man was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tacoma Police Department.
