Crash into telephone pole near Alder Lake Campground sends 1 to hospital, slows traffic

A one-car crash into a telephone pole at Alder Lake Campground is slowing traffic in East Pierce County Friday.

The collision involved a single vehicle and a telephone pole along State Route 7, Troopers said.

The passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP)

Crews were headed to the scene to repair the damaged pole.

In the meantime, northbound and southbound traffic is alternating through the area.
