A man riding a bicycle was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision early Monday near Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood, police said.
A man riding a bicycle was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision early Monday near Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded around 12:17 a.m. to reports of a collision near North 97th Street and Aurora Avenue North.
They found a 30-year-old man on the ground with serious injuries.
Police provided aid until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived and took the man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
The man was riding south on Aurora Avenue North when a gray sedan struck him from behind, according to Seattle police. The driver continued south without stopping.
Officers interviewed witnesses and reviewed video footage as part of the investigation. Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are working to determine what led up to the collision.
