A man was found dead inside a home that was engulfed in flames early Thursday.
Marysville Fire District firefighters were dispatched to the house on Parksville Drive around 1:30 a.m.
Crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames and quickly began fighting the fire.
Marysville fire officials said a husband and wife, along with multiple pets, lived in the home. The wife got out safely. However, the husband was found dead inside the house.
Some of the couple's pets, including birds, cats, and a dog, are missing.
The home was destroyed. Damage is estimated to be about $500,000.
Crews from the Tulalip Fire Department, Getchell Fire Department, Everett Fire Department, Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue, Paine Field Fire Department, Marysville Police Department, and Snohomish County 911 assisted.
Fire marshals will work to determine the cause of the fire.
