King County is offering a chance to anonymously turn firearms in for a gift card.
People with unwanted guns can anonymously turn them in for gift cards at a drive-through gun buyback event in Shoreline.
Public Health – Seattle & King County and the King County Sheriff’s Office are holding the event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 12, at Shoreline Community College, 16101 Greenwood Ave. N.
Participants will receive gift cards in exchange for unwanted guns, with amounts varying by firearm type.
Those attending will remain in their vehicles and be directed to a station for gun intake and gift card distribution.
The event is being held in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
