A float plane made an emergency landing on Lake Ki Wednesday, prompting a response from Marysville Fire District crews and the Snohomish County Sheriff's.

A good Samaritan boater helped tow the plane to shore, according to Marysville Fire District officials.

The plane had flown out of nearby Arlington Airport before fire officials were called out to Lake Ki at around 1:15 p.m. for the rescue.

Fire officials said the pilot was not injured, and he was the only person on board.

A water rescue and hazmat teams worked together to support the safe recovery of the aircraft and to ensure there were no hazards to the pilot or the surrounding environment, Marysville Fire District said.

Officials did not say where the pilot was headed when the emergency landing occurred.
