Man found dead near Forest Park, Everett police say death doesn’t appear suspicious

The body of an adult man was discovered near Forest Park at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Everett police said.

Everett police officers and fire personnel responded after being notified that a member of the community had found the body, police said.

The death does not appear suspicious, police said.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has custody of the body and will determine the cause of death.

Forest Park sits on 197 acres offer wooded trails, picnic areas, a swim center, a playground & an animal farm, with Pigeon Creek running through part of the park.

Police did not reveal the exact location where the body had been found.

The investigation remains active, and no additional details were available.
