A 10-year-old girl was pulled from the water in Bonney Lake on Sunday afternoon and rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
A 10-year-old girl was pulled from the water in Bonney Lake on Sunday afternoon and rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Crews were dispatched to 1790 Dike Road E for a report of a juvenile in the water. The call came in at 2:00 p.m., and the child was reported out of the water at 2:08 p.m., the sheriff’s office said. A chaplain was also called to the scene.
A Pierce County Sheriff’s Office deputy began CPR, and crews continued lifesaving efforts for an extended period of time. The girl was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The sheriff’s office said the case remains an active investigation, with deputies interviewing witnesses and family members.
