There will be no Bonnaroo in 2027.
Organizers of the Manchester, Tennessee, music festival made the surprise announcement Friday, saying The Farm needs time to recover after storms hit the festival grounds in back-to-back years.
"Bonnaroo will be taking a much-needed year off in 2027," organizers announced. "This wasn't an easy decision, and not one we take lightly, but in our hearts, we know this break will only make Bonnaroo better."
The decision comes after Bonnaroo returned in June with major improvements designed specifically to make the festival grounds more resilient to severe weather.
Organizers say they spent significant time and money before the 2026 festival improving drainage, building 4.5 miles of new roadways and planting 135 acres of new grass.

Heavy rain hit The Farm on the Sunday of this year's festival. Organizers say that came after storms affected the grounds in consecutive years, leaving the property with limited time to recover.
"The Farm, particularly the main venue, needs a break to rest and recover," organizers said.
Bonnaroo's 2026 return had followed months of work aimed at addressing drainage and infrastructure problems at the sprawling Coffee County festival site.
The festival brings tens of thousands of music fans to Manchester each year for several days of concerts, camping and events.
