Patrick Hussion anchors KOMO News mornings from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.
Before joining KOMO, Patrick spent two years anchoring in Asheville, North Carolina, where he helped lead coverage of Hurricane Helene and its aftermath across Western North Carolina. Over a journalism career spanning more than two decades, he has worked at both the national and local levels, including serving as a White House correspondent and covering presidential campaigns, major breaking news events, natural disasters, and community stories across the country.
He has interviewed presidents, members of Congress, and local leaders. Despite covering some of the nation’s biggest stories, Patrick says the most rewarding part of journalism is meeting people whose stories might otherwise go untold.
Patrick, his wife Nevin, and their son Aiden are excited to return to the Pacific Northwest and put down roots in Seattle. Outside the newsroom, he enjoys exploring the outdoors and is looking forward to seeing how Washington’s trails compare to the more than 400 miles he has hiked on the Appalachian Trail back east.
