Smoke and haze spread across Western Washington on a Weather Warn Day as air quality quickly deteriorated compared with the same time the day before.

Smoke and haze have spread across Western Washington causing the region's air quality to quickly deteriorate since Tuesday morning.

Wildfire smoke continued to drift into the region from several fires in Canada and Eastern Washington, prompting concerns about health impacts and working conditions as heat and smoky air lingered.

The worsening air quality raised questions about what Washington law requires for employees working in smoky conditions. ARC Seattle's Natalie Fahmy joined co-anchors Steve McCarron and Holly Menino to talk about which groups are most at risk, what symptoms they should watch for, and how people can protect themselves from the smoke.
